Campus Network Maintenance

If you discover a network anomaly, please perform a basic test first. If a network failure occurs in the administrative and teaching areas, please perform a self-test first. This will help to eliminate minor problems and allow you to clearly and effectively describe the problem when reporting a problem.

The detection method is as follows:

  1. Can you connect to our university website www.tcu.edu.tw?

  2. Check whether you can connect to the university’s administrative system website, admin.tcu.edu.tw.

  3. Check if you can connect to www.google.com?

  4. Can I use email service?

  5. Can you connect to the academic network of other friendly universities, such as Donghua University www.ndhu.edu.tw?

  6. If there are other computers in the office or on the same floor, try using other computers to test and confirm whether the problem is isolated to a single computer.

Feeling that the Internet is slow?

    1. Are you experiencing slow connections to websites both inside and outside the school? Try using a different browser (like Firefox or Chrome) and try again.

    2. Connecting to Google is fine, but connecting to the school system is slow? Please contact our system development team.

    3. I feel like my internet is slow, but I’m not sure if it’s a problem on campus or with the academic network. You can check this website [Academic Network Quality Test Station]

    4. My internet speed is unstable. I’m wondering if there’s congestion on campus. Please refer to [Tzu Chi University Traffic Statistics]
