TANet Roaming

The University has established a wireless network interschool roaming mechanism on the campus, and welcomes teachers and students to use it. Through the mechanism, the staff and students can easily access the wireless Internet in each location, which has joined the roaming connection. As long as your personal computers or handheld Internet devices are equipped with a wireless Internet access function, you can enter the account and password allocated by the University; then the wireless network roaming can be certified by the outside school, to achieve the purpose of cross school roaming.

At present, because the account password of the wireless roaming system uses plaintext transmission, there are concerns about the security (there may be malicious users intercepting account and password information). Therefore, the Computer Center will use another wireless network authentication password.

To look for your password, please log in to the University Administration System→University System Overview→ Computer Center→wireless network roaming & SSL VPN password management→password inquiry,To connect the wireless network on the campus of an outside school which has joined the roaming connection:

Enter the wireless network authentication account.

If your student ID number is 103321001, please enter 103321001@rad.tcu.edu.tw

Enter your dedicated cross-school password, so you can be certified and get the school’s IP address to properly connect to the Internet.
